Abstract

Mangrove forests function as coastal protection from abrasion and are an important habitat for the ocean. Menyak Village, which is located in Koba District, Central Bangka Regency, is one of the places that has a coast that is quite susceptible to abrasion. The purpose of this activity is to increase public awareness of the role of mangroves in preventing abrasion. This activity involved KKN Mas UNMUH Babel students and Koba 1 students in class 9 P5 activities with the theme "Sustainable Life" with the title Mangrove goes to school, in collaboration with the BPDAS service and the head of the Central Bangka KONI service. In general, this activity ran smoothly, and with this activity it is hoped that there will be an understanding and great benefit from planting mangroves not only for students but also for the local community about the benefits of mangroves from preventing the Nyak Village from abrasion.
